Our Pathologists
“There is beauty on the slides. There is a feeling of joy in helping to solve the mysteries of the human condition."
Adrienne L. Hery, M.D.
Dr. Adrienne L. Hery is board certified in anatomic, clinical pathology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Hery is a Tampa native and earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami. Dr. Hery then spent five years as a Lieutenant with the U.S. Navy, first in general surgery training and then in a general practice office providing health care and medical administrative oversight to 21 U. S. warships. She received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Humanitarian Service Medal for her work in Haiti. Dr. Hery went on to complete residency at Orlando Health and fellowship in dermatopathology at Dartmouth. She was faculty at the University of South Florida prior to joining SaraPath Diagnostics.
Dr. Hery did not enter medical school expecting to become a pathologist, but very quickly fell in love with the field. “There is beauty on the slides. There is a feeling of joy in helping to solve the mysteries of the human condition. There is satisfaction at being able to extend the patients’ line of care to the cellular or even molecular level.”
Dr. Hery enjoys talking with patients and physicians and getting to contribute in a unique way to the healthcare team.
In her free time, Dr. Hery enjoys spending time with her husband, five children, and bulldog.
